Increase in demand, retirements, new activities of the nautical sector... The shipyards, nautical French, but also the business of services (maintenance, distribution, rental, etc) are in active search of labor. "Nearly two-thirds of French companies in the sector are recruiting!" exclaimed Thursday, Yves Lyon-Caen, chairman of the federation of nautical industries (FIN), at their annual conference. "The companies offer a thousand jobs per year, for three years, and this continues".

Electricians marine, accastilleurs, carpenters, design nautical, but especially specialists in composite materials, or pavers made of polyester and are actively sought. And almost half of them, it is jobs in CDI. According to the END, studies conducted in the region showed that the sector, in all its facets - industry or service - would be the bearer of the 140,000 direct and indirect jobs. To remedy this situation, the profession will, explains the END, a better understanding of the existence of these occupations or to further adapt the certificates of professional qualification.

These tensions on the job, which now fall in the long term, are notably due to the success met by the whole of the French industry. It employed at the end of 2018 some 42.900 people, for an overall turnover of 5.09 billion euros, an increase of 5% . This is the best performance since 2008.

"The 2018-2019 fiscal year that just ended will be marked by a further increase to approximately 5.4 billion euros, as it is on the same trend as the previous one, said Yves Lyon-Caen. And this should continue in Europe again for this fiscal year which will end in 2020".

sales of boats increased between the years 2017 and 2018 of 3.4%. Some 48.500 vessels (one-third of sailboats, two-thirds of motor boats) the French have been made over this period, and 76.4 per cent were sold for export. The building water is a sure value of French industry.

Propelled by its two engines, Europe and the United States, the boating industry French is progressing. These two areas account for two-thirds of French sales. We see new customers who buy boats bigger. The average size of boats has increased from 8.5 metres to 10 metres. The offer extends and joins the trends in the u.s.".
