The first quarter was also marked by an acceleration of the wage bill which shows an increase of 1.4% over the quarter (after +0.9%) and nearly 4% year on year, announces the central Agency of social security bodies (Acoss). This last explains this phenomenon by the payment of the "premium Macron" aimed at supporting the purchasing power. Without this premium, the wage bill slows down "significantly" in the first quarter (+0.1 percent after +0.9 percent).
