The group japanese car Nissan held Tuesday afternoon a board of directors, in which shall be designated as a new director on a proposal from its French ally Renault, said on Monday the japanese press. The new president of Renault, Jean-Dominique Senard, should be chosen in replacement of Carlos Ghosn, the nomination shall be effective only after approval by the shareholders at an extraordinary general meeting to be held in April.

on this occasion, the shareholders will also be called upon to vote on the dismissal of Carlos Ghosn and his right arm Greg Kelly. Both dismissed from their positions at Nissan soon after their arrest on 19 November in Tokyo, on suspicion of embezzlement, they keep their as directors until the general assembly has not recognised their eviction. relations are strained between Nissan and its biggest shareholder Renault since the arrest of Carlos Ghosn in the wake of an internal investigation of the japanese manufacturer, which has passed the elements to justice, and denouncing the actions as "serious".
