What is the reference text?

The establishment of rent control in Paris is a measure of the act the Elan of 23 November 2018 (art. 140). This device is implemented on an experimental basis for five years, in municipalities located in areas of tension and that have an observatory of rents with at least three years of existence.

What are leases involved?

All leases signed or renewed (by the landlord or the tenant) from the date of entry into force of the rent are affected by the device. On the other hand, leases in progress and renewals implied are not.
