The actor Ulrich Pleitgen is dead. He died on Wednesday of heart failure, said a spokeswoman of his agency. Pleitgen died at home in Hamburg.
Pleitgen was considered a versatile actor. Most recently he was seen mainly in television series such as family Dr. Kleist or as a detective commissioner in K3-Kripo Hamburg. In his last film, ARD comedy Always Trouble with Grandpa Charly, Pleitgen played a grandfar and Ökoaktivisten. In this role he recognizes himself again, said Pleitgen at that time.
