The SchauspielerinKarin dor is dead. This was shared by private atre comedy in Bavarian court Inmunich, before Bild-Zeitung had reported on it. According to this, actress at age of 79 years died of late consequences of a fall in a nursing home in Munich.
Dor was born 1938 Inwiesbaden. At age of 15 she began her acting career. As a teenager she received her first small role in Rosen-Resli. In feature film of 1954, she had a single sentence to speak: "Heavenly, Madam Boss, simply heavenly!"
It became known as first and only German Bondgirl: Sospielte 1967 as Helga Brandt in James Bond 007 – One lives nurzweimal on side of Sean Connery. In film she dies a terrible death – she is eaten by piranhas.
Three years earlier, role of Indian girl Ribanna in Winnetou II took over with PierreBrice. Dor also starred in Alfred Hitchcock's espionage thriller Topaz (1969) and US television series The Boss (1970). Lastly, she appeared in two Rosamunde-Pilcher-Films in years 1997 and 2000. In drama I'm or of 2006 she played an alcoholic mor whose daughter (Katja Riemann) suffers from a personality split.
1955, year after wedding with director Harald Reinl, her son Andreas was born. For 14 years, marriage was held with director until she 1968 divorced. At that time, Dor fell ill with cancer. After her separation from Reiner, Dor was married two more times: so she went on a Kurzehe with merchant Günr Schmucker. 1988 married American and stuntman George Robotham, who died 2007.
