Twitter has banned account of satire magazine Titanic. The reason is a parodical tweet, published by magazine on behalf of AfD politician Beatrix von Storch, who had previously been banned by Twitter, wrote Titanic on her website. Twitter had been banned from Stork's account after a tweet with reference to a "violation of rules about hate content" for 12 hours.

Von Storch was excited about a tweet from Cologne police who had published New Year's Greetings in several languages, including Arabic. "What hell is going on in this country? Why does an official police site from NRW tweet in Arabic? Do you mean to appease barbaric, Muslim, group-raping hordes of men? ", wrote Vice-chairman of AfD Bundestag group. Titanic has announced that Stork will tweet about account of satire magazine until furr notice. The tweet has led to numerous ads.

In tweet that led to blocking of Titanic account, according to satire magazine: "Do you know what Twitter means in Arabic, love @polizei_nrw_k? Yes? Ugh! I don't know – because last thing I want to have is appeased barbaric, Muslim, group-raping men's hordes! (BVS) ".

The chief editor of Titanic reacted irritatedly to blocking. "We wanted to offer a persecuted fighter for unjust asylum," said editor-in-chief Tim Wolff. "Because if we understand Twitter correctly, it is a forum for weakest of our society: politicians with special views, many of whom are called upon, so very special people."

In addition, account had already repeatedly tweeted "guests" such as image boss Julian Reichelt and Alexander Gaula (AfD) without any consequences. Wolff suspects that deletion is in connection with new Network Enforcement Act (NetzDG), which has been in force since beginning of year.
