The American manufacturer of electric cars announces success figures. But at the same time it becomes clear: production remained clearly behind the plan in the final quarter of 2017.

The US Elektroautohersteller Tesla has postponed production targets for his new Model 3. The production of Model 3 could only be driven up to a weekly 5,000 vehicles at end of second quarter, Tesla said. With sales figures, company lagged behind expectations. In fourth quarter, Tesla supplied his own data after 1,550 vehicles of Model 3, with which Tesla wants to reach mass market. We produced a little more than 2,400, a part of vehicles will only be delivered in first quarter of 2018.

Analysts had reckoned with 4,100 vehicles of this model, which dropped share price Nachbörslich. Already in third quarter, instead of targeted 1,500 e-Cars of type Model 3 were rolled only 260 pieces from tapes. The problem was production of battery modules, for which Tesla built a large factory in Nevada desert. According to data, production processes have to be partially revised.

The Model 3 costs at 35,000 dollars only half as much as Model S, which could increase pressure on traditional manufacturers. Tesla has said that it has succeeded in accelerating production of Model 3, particularly in last weeks and days of fourth quarter. By end of first quarter of 2018, manufacturer calculates monthly with 10,000 vehicles per month. At end of second quarter it will be 20,000.

Tesla is also on market with sport sedan Model S and SUV Model X. In se models it went better: with 101,312 Model S and Model X delivered in year 2017, figure rose by about a third compared to previous year.
