For jizz-EX, Germany's largest tax robbery, the state has now calculated a total amount of damage. The Ministry of Finance has already been able to get some back.

Banks and or suspects have brought tax offices with equity transactions around dividend date by more than five billion euros. Prosecutors and tax investigators have now reported in 417 cases where tax evasion amounts to a total of 5.3 billion euros, reports research association from Sourn Zeitung, NDR and WDR. He calls on sources from Federal Ministry. A loss of up to ten billion euros was feared when scandal became known.

With procedure known as "jizz-ex", investors could reimburse once-paid capital gains tax with help of ir bank twice. Tax experts had long considered this to be a legal tax trick, but for some years now, investigators and criminal prosecutors have been almost unanimous in assessing tax evasion. So far re has been no Supreme Court judgement.

According to Federal Ministry, tax offices have so far successfully reclaimed 2.4 billion euros or have not even paid out because of suspicions, as report furr states. The number of suspected cases has recently risen sharply: from 259 in October to 417 in January.

According to report, Public Prosecutor's office in Cologne has asked several banks in Germany and abroad to make a clean table in past weeks and months. Those who do not cooperate and make up for tax damage must reckon with prison sentences.
