Several employees of a London atre have complained about "inappropriate behavior" by Kevin Spacey. In course of an investigation, 20 accusations were made against actor, ater Old Vic shared. Spacey had been on stage re in 1990s and worked as an artistic director of atre from 2004 to 2015.

After first allegations of sexual harassment against Spacey had become known, actor Roberto Cavazos in Guardian reported that Spacey had harassed him and or young colleagues during his time at Old Vic. At end of October, atre had commissioned a law firm to investigate.

The persons concerned were all of age at time of events, atre now shared. Details of nature of accusations concerning inappropriate behaviour were not made. It was not possible to check allegations. In addition, Spacey has not yet taken a position on this.

The accusations concern incidents from years 1995 to 2013. Only one of m was reported to management at time, report says. The reason for secrecy was primarily cult of people around Spacey. The Old Vic was in unique position to have a Hollywood star at top, lawyers write. Many employees would have feared that ir accusations of atre because of Spacey's reputation would not be taken seriously or would not be pursued. Spacey did not have to account for his actions during his time. In addition, unlike in investigation, re was no confidential channel on which employees could have expressed ir accusations.

Theater Announces consequences

The Old Vic apologized to people concerned and announced that he wanted to implement several recommendations from investigation. For example, a new code of conduct is to be set up toger with employees and several contact points for victims of inappropriate behaviour should be established. In addition, atre wants to train its employees on how to prevent and report harassment.
