Did you know that about 70 percent of Germans don't live in a big city? How do you think MeToo get re? I wonder because in my East German homeland I have often experienced resistance of debates that are perceived as elitist.
How am I supposed to explain to a man re journalistic texts that claim that all men are entangled in sexist assaults without exception? Do I listen to voices of German women and men who point out that re are at least two German coinage worlds in sexism? Or are re not se voices? And how do I explain to a white man that debate revolves around white men, although perpetrators obviously come from all milieus?
Yes, MeToo is a mass movement, but only one potential. The reactionary toxins already, MeToo is nothing but a leftist minority on Twitter, trying to imposing ors ir questionable ideals.
No one should underestimate power of such narratives. Remember all damage Veggie day campaign inflicted on Greens? To this day, environmentalists are regarded by many as authoritarians who want to rob people of ir freedom of choice. I sometimes fear a veggie day for MeToo. A political thrust reversal according to motto: The True women's enemies are those who fight against sexism.
