‘Longmire’ Season 6 Spoilers: Walt Wears A Suit; Is A Wedding Or Funeral Happening?

“Longmire” Season 6 just began filming last March. At the time only a few details are known about the upcoming season. However, Adam Bartley shared a photo featuring Walt Longmire (Robert Taylor) in a suit.

On Tuesday, Bartley posted a photo on Instagram with his “Longmire” co-stars Taylor, Katee Sackhoff and Cassidy Freeman. The actors were filming an episode as the “Annabelle: Creation” star was in character as Sheriff Deputy Jim “The Ferg” Ferguson.

“I think I’m seeing double #Longmire #LongmireS6 #setlife #actorslife #behindthescenes @therealkateesackhoff @jessieleighs22,” Bartley wrote in the caption.

The photo garnered a number of reactions from “Longmire” fans, forming theoriesl from the single photo. Some believe that Walt is getting married, while others believe that there is a funeral in the new season.

“Walts getting married! Tell that music sup we need some Cold Stares on this season!” one user named thecoldstares commented on the photo. “That’s a lot of black suits! Who died?” another user named stratocastecjen wrote.

It is still not clear why Walt wears a suit and why there are a lot of men in the background wearing suits too. Cartermatt speculated that there will be a super-formal gathering. It can be a flashback to an event that happened earlier or a death that already happened.

The news outlet added that the snapshot teases a potential plot that viewers have not seen in the series. The new season might stretch the character and place them outside of their comfort zone. There are still a lot of things to see about Walt and fans are hoping that this will be revealed in the last season.

Meanwhile, Lou Diamond Phillips announced on Twitter that he is directing the second episode of “Longmire” Season 6. “Ah, but I am here! I have the honor of directing the second episode so I'm cooking my vegetarian DP dinner while we research. #Longmire,” he wrote in the caption.

“Longmire” Season 6 is expected to premiere in September.
