Watch Alison Krauss promote new album 'Windy City,' which has an L.A. look

Grammy-winning Illinois native Alison Krauss performed "I Never Cared for You" Monday on "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert" to promote her new album, which has a Chicago-inspired name, but a Los Angeles look.

The song, written and recorded by Willie Nelson, is one of 10 Krauss covers on "Windy City." The album, which was released Friday, has gotten some good buzz from critics, but has also raised some eyebrows for its cover.

The bluegrass-country singer, who was born in downstate Decatur and raised in Champaign, wears a black-and-white dress as she stands in front of palm trees that are clearly not indigenous to Chicago. The title is a nod to the "Windy City" song by the Osborne Brothers that Krauss covers on the album.
