A man fell to his death on Tuesday while trying to evade arrest by rappelling 11 stories down a Brooklyn apartment building using a rope of tied-together bed sheets.

Cops were attempting to arrest Jamel Chandler, 21, and two other men at Brooklyn’s Ingersoll Houses at 6 p.m. for a past robbery, police sources said.

One neighbor saw Chandler’s chilling last moments.

“There was police by the window, so I was looking out the window to see what they were looking at — [then] I seen his whole body fall past my window,” said a man living on the first floor of the building at 24 Monument Walk. “It sounded like ‘boom.’”

Chandler said on Facebook that cops were knocking on his door just before the failed escape attempt, sources said.

He strung together several bed sheets, anchored them to a window and tried to climb down, but a knot came loose, and he fell seven stories, according to police sources.

Chandler was taken to Brooklyn Hospital Center, where he died of his injuries, according to police.
The other two suspects were arrested outside the building, sources said.
