In case of 2005 in a Desauern police cell by a fire-killed asylum seeker Oury Jalloh, according to a media report, Dissauer Chief prosecutor Folker Bittmann from a Vertuschungstat by policemen. As central German newspaper reported, Bittmann rejects in a note dated April 2017 not only sis of an accident death Jalloh. Rar, he specifically describe a scenario in which officials could have lit prisoner. In addition, Prosecutor had drawn parallels to two or unexplained deaths at Dessau police station.

The motive for assassination could refore have been to cover up previously inflicted injuries to asylum seeker. Investigations into previous deaths in vicinity of Dessau police should also have been prevented. Bittmann relies on evaluators and results of a 2016 fire attempt, according to which tered Jalloh was poured over and lit with a small amount of fire accelerators.

Oury Jalloh, an asylum seeker from Sierra Leone, was burned 2005 a few hours after his arrest in a deoxygenated police cell. The police and prosecutor's office n came to conclusion that he had laid fire himself to generate attention. The case could not be clarified even in two court trials. There have been massive doubts about ory of an accident – especially on part of Jalloh family.

After Bittmann had expressed doubts about accident sis in past, Prosecutor General of Naumburg in Saxony-Anhalt had withdrawn proceedings of Dissour Prosecutor's office and transferred case Jalloh to Public Prosecutor's Office Halle. This was investigative procedure in October. Halle senior prosecutor Heike Geyer justified this by fact that procedure "did not provide sufficient factual evidence for participation of third parties in firing". However, re are still great doubts about accident. In case of new findings, however, proceedings could be resumed, Prosecutor general said.
