The Republican Rick Scott responds to the attack of parkland. In order to protect students, a police officer will be posted in each school in the future.

Florida: Governor wants cops at all schools

The governor of Florida, Rick Scott, wants to send police officers to all schools in U.S. state in future. That was a consequence of attack on Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School last week, in which 17 people were killed, Scott said.

In addition, Republican Party announced that Florida would raise age limit for possession of firearms from 18 to 21 years. For people with mental problems, acquisition of weapons is said to be "practically impossible".

On February 14th, a 19-year-old high school student shot 17 people. During attack, an armed police officer was in front of school building. As police chief of Broward administrative district, Scott Israel, instilled, official did not intervene.

The attack has led to a new debate in United States about possible consequences, such as restrictions on right to possession of weapons. US President Donald Trump had proposed at a meeting with survivors from parkland among ors, to arm teachers.
