According to media reports, Glushkov has maintained contacts with Kremlin critic Boris Berezovsky, who had been found strangled in his house near London five years ago. Glushkov was a member of a car company Beresowskis and was director of Russian state airline Aeroflot.

Berezovsky had fled to Britain because of a split with Russian President Vladimir Putin. Glushkov was accused of money laundering, among or things.
