Hollywood: New York sues Harvey Weinstein

The Supreme Court of District of New York filed a lawsuit against Weinstein Company and founders Harvey Weinstein and his bror Robert. It is a violation of civil rights, human rights and labour law, said prosecutor Eric Schneiderman. It also includes new accusations against "vicious and exploitative abuse" by employees. The Board of directors and management are accused of repeatedly failing to protect ir employees by appropriate measures or to act against wine-making behaviour.

They would probably have repeatedly broken laws of State of New York, as employees were endangered, said Schneiderman. The lawsuit was result of four months of investigation in which "new and outrageous" sexual misconduct had been revealed. In new accusations, threats are cited to wine-stone. So he said to some employees, "I'm going to kill you," I'm going to kill your family, "You don't know what I can do." He had relationships with powerful people who could "take care of problems".

Weinstein is in rapy

Weinstein was released in October by his production company. Many women, including actresses such as Salma Hayek, Ashley Judd, Gwyneth Paltrow, Angelina Jolie, Rose McGowan and Mira Sorvino, have publicly accused Weinstein of sexual assault and intimidation. After New York Times and The New Yorker were allowed to speak, many more women made ir experiences public. Since beginning of scandal, more than a hundred women have now raised accusations against Weinstein.

The producer has admitted wrongdoing in past, but has repeatedly rejected accusations of non-consensual sex. He should be in rapy.

Stein's lawyer Ben Brafman said that a fair investigation by Attorney general would show that accusations against film producer had no basis. Weinstein had made mistakes, but it was not about crime. After a week ago, Uma Thurman raised producer's misconduct in an interview, and a spokesman had threatened to do so with legal steps.
