Styria: A dead man due to a train accident in Austria

A woman was killed by a collision of two trains in Austria. In addition, 22 passengers, including three children, were injured, police said.

A EuroCity was bounced on Monday noon in area of station of Niklasdorf in Styria on side against a train. The cause of this so-called flank collision was initially unclear. A wagon derailed after collision.

According to Austrian media reports, EuroCity 216 was on its way from Graz to Saarbrücken. Rescue workers barged injured on Monday afternoon. First pictures of scene of accident showed a laterally torn wagon. Many passengers had to be cared for because of a shock.
