Turkey: Deniz Yücel no longer sits in solitary confinement

The German-Turkish journalist Deniz Yücel, who has been detained in Turkey for more than nine months, is no longer in solitary confinement. Yücel is only one of at least 152 journalists who are currently in prison in Turkey. Many have been sitting in custody for a long time without charge. This is possible because Turkish government has imposed a state of emergency since coup attempt in July 2016.
