Fattmerchant says new pricing will help small-volume businesses

A financial technology company based in Orlando continues to grow its services, just as it prepares to grow its workforce.

Fattmerchant, which provides businesses with payment processing hardware, said this week that it had revamped its pricing.

The company unveiled an option for companies that do less than $7,000 per month. They can now choose to pay a fee that amounts to 2.9 percent on those transactions.

“Regardless of size or transaction volume, we believe every business should not only have access to affordable payment processing, but also have a supportive team with their company's best interest in mind at all times,” Fattmerchant CEO and founder Suneera Madhani said in a press release. ”Our new pricing structure now allows us to offer our unique technology and straightforward customer support to low-volume merchants who may not have had prior access to these types of services.”

Businesses can also choose to pay a flat monthly fee of $79 or $99 per month plus per-transaction costs.

Fattmerchant recently grew to employ 25 people and has plans to add 15 more by the end of the year.

The company has kept a high profile in Orlando’s startup scene, having landed in the popular business magazine Fast Company in 2014.

Since then, they have won several entrepreneurial competitions in town.
