Incident reports of Thursday's downtown gunfight that injured three cops and killed a robbery suspect show that a brother-and-sister pair aimed only to steal food and beer from a 7-Eleven.

Damarius Butts, 19, was killed by police gunfire in an exchange with cops that sent two cops to the hospital and left a third with a grazing wound. Butts reportedly used a gun belonging to his sister, a 17-year-old girl who allegedly joined him in the caper that escalated into the shooting.

The reports, as well as several photos and a video related to the incident, were released  by the Seattle Police Department on Friday afternoon.

One officer, a 30-year-old man, was seriously wounded and remains hospitalized in serious condition. A 42-year-old cop who also was shot was treated at the hospital and released Thursday evening.

Police detained two people: The girl and another 19-year-old man connected to the robbery.

Downtown Seattle around Western Avenue and Marion Street was shut down for hours while cops hunted for Butts and investigated the scene.

Two Seattle police officers were shot April 20, 2017, while responding to a robbery report. The shootout saw a man suspected in the robbery killed. This patrol car video shows the man fleeing into a loading dock with officers in pursuit. Gunfire can be heard moments later.

Police were called at 1:19 p.m. to a reported armed robbery at the 7-Eleven in the 600 block of First Avenue, incident reports say.

Officers arrived to find two people matching the store clerk's description of the pair who came into the store and allegedly stole food and beer, showing a gun on their way out. The two ran, but cops caught up to Butts and tried to take him into custody, according to police accounts.

However, the 17-year-old sister struck an officer in the head with a soda bottle, placed him in a headlock and pulled him off her brother, documents say. Cops detained her while Butts reportedly ran away, leading officers on a chase.

Police followed Butts into the loading dock of an office building in the 900 block of First Avenue, where Butts allegedly turned and fired, shooting two cops and hitting one in the hand. Police returned fire and Butts went into the building, where, ultimately, he was fatally wounded.

Cops later searched the building and found Butts dead at the scene. The King County Medical Examiner determined he died of multiple gunshot wounds. Police haven't said how many shots were fired or how many struck Butts.

In an interview with detectives, the girl said she bought the gun her brother carried for $550 and that they and a friend stood outside the 7-Eleven, formulating a plan to steal food and beer, according to police reports.

The brother and sister agreed to steal the items while the friend stood outside and waited, she allegedly told detectives. The girl gave her gun to her brother and still was armed with a folding knife, according to court records.

The siblings walked into the store and grabbed several items. On their way out, the clerk followed them, but the brother lifted his shirt, revealing the gun tucked into the front of his waistband, police say. The clerk retreated and the siblings stopped nearby to smoke cigarettes until they saw police approaching, the girl reportedly told detectives.

When asked why she gave her brother the gun, the girl reportedly told authorities she "didn't have it in her" to pull it on someone, while her brother would.

During the interview, the girl also reportedly implicated the 19-year-old friend who allegedly stood watch outside and was part of the robbery planning. Cops ultimately found him at his home in Renton.

After being arrested about 6 p.m., he allegedly told police he was with Butts and his sister for the robbery planning and, when they emerged from the store, they put the items in his bag, according to reports.

He added that when police approached him, he walked away and took a bus home to Renton, where he ate some of the stolen items, court documents say. He denied knowledge of the shooting.

Both the 17- and 19-year-olds are being investigated for robbery, while the girl is also being investigated for assault.
