Human rights activists have presented satellite imagery documenting the destruction in the state of Rakhine. They suspect that Myanmar wants to cover up crime.

According to human rights in state of Rakhine, military in Myanmar has destroyed numerous villages of Muslim Rohingya minority. At least 55 settlements have been razed to ground with heavy equipment, human rights organization reports Human Right Watch (HRW). It refers to satellite images that were created between November 2017 and February 2018.

The human rights organization suspects that government wants to destroy Myanmar's evidence of crimes against Muslim minority. The inhabitants and inhabitants of villages had been fled or expelled last year.

Since n, many Rohingya have been killed, more than 655,000 fled to impoverished neighboring country of Bangladesh. At least 10,000 were killed by Doctors Without Borders. The UN called handling of Rohingya a "clear case of ethnic cleansing" and spoke of "signs of genocide".

The countries are currently negotiating to repatriate Rohingya to Myanmar. Lastly, Myanmar said resumption of 6,000 Rohingya from a border area.

The alleged religious leader behind acts of violence against Rohingya has in present time justified its role in conflict. "If it is fanatical to protect his people, his brors of faith by all means, n I can be called a fanatic," said Buddhist abbot Ashin Wirathu.
