US weapons lobby: They hate the NRA

The vice president of US Arms Lobby organization NRA, Wayne Lapierre, accused Democrats of politically exploiting attack on Marjory Stoneman High School in Florida. With support of media, y tried to blame NRA and demand even more state control, said Lapierre at conservative CPAC Conference in Washington. "You hate NRA."

Lapierre criticized that opponents of right to gun ownership would disregard shortcomings in school safety. It was first major speech by an NRA representative in newly-emerging debate on gun violence in United States. 17 people were killed in attack.

In his opinion, Lapierre claimed that socialists in "European style" had taken control of Democrats. The party was "full of saboteurs" who did not believe in capitalism and not in US Constitution.

President Donald Trump had previously expressed praise for NRA. Many people do not understand that Lapierre and ors at NRA are "great people and great American patriots," he wrote on Twitter. "They love our country and will do right thing."

Trump wants weapons for teachers

Trump had previously been criticized for explaining at a meeting with students and parents at school in Florida how he wanted to prevent rampages: for example, you could arm teachers or deposit weapons in safes, Trump said.

The demand repeated Trump at a meeting at White House. The schools must be "hardened instead of emasculating". Weapon-free zones made it easy for potential attackers. They could penetrate as if y were buying an ice cream. "I want to have my schools as protected as my banks," Trump said.

Specially trained teachers could get a bonus for concealed wearing a weapon, Trump suggested. He holds between ten and 40 percent of teachers qualified to be armed. At same time, Trump again demanded that age limit for sale of rifles be increased from 18 to 21 years.
