The CAQ turned to Audrey Bogemans, who operated a family farm, to try to regain the riding of Iberville, in Montérégie.
Ms. Bogemans had also been president of the Haut-Richelieu Chamber of Commerce between 2016 and 2018.
The riding was previously held by Claire Samson, who was elected with the CAQ, before making the leap with the Conservative Party of Quebec in June 2021.
