Laval police seized two firearms and arrested a 19-year-old man from Brossard suspected of being involved in recent armed violence events on Laval soil.
Jonathan Estimé was arrested on June 30 at a residence in Brossard. The police arrived at this address to execute a search warrant.
At the scene, law enforcement found two Glock 9mm pistols, one of which had a high-capacity magazine.
The police also seized ammunition, $3,000 in cash, false identification, bags containing crack and a cell phone.
Jonathan Estimé faces charges of possession of a prohibited weapon with ammunition, possession of forged documents and breach of conditions.
He is due back in court on July 12 for further legal proceedings.
