Security company Checkpoint Systems has acquired Alert Systems to enhance its product line with more anti-theft solutions.
The acquired company, created in 1999, is of Danish origin and specializes in the detection of metals and magnets in stores, thus preventing the entry of aluminum-lined bags or illegal magnets to detach hard tags, according to a statement.
Checkpoint already distributed and developed digital products and solutions in this segment together with Alert Systems, a relationship that has finally led to an acquisition.
