The Sûreté du Québec (SQ) is trying to find a man who would have sunk in the waters of Lake Spooner Pond, in Cleveland in the Eastern Townships, during a swim on Sunday afternoon.

According to the SQ, the emergency services were called to the scene around 2:30 p.m. The missing man was bathing in the lake when "he sank in the waters of the lake".
Boats from the SQ and firefighters began searching the water before divers continued operations.
