Antisemitism: Kollegah and Farid Bang visit Auschwitz

The rappers Kollegah and Farid Bang were accused of antisemitism. Now they have looked at the Auschwitz concentration camp memorial site.

After anti-Semitism accusations, rappers Kollegah and Farid Bang visited concentration camp memorial in Auschwitz. This was shared by International Auschwitz Committee, which musicians had invited.

The Vice-President of Committee, Christoph Heubner, accompanied musicians. He said to meeting: "For Auschwitz survivors, visit of rappers is a satisfaction and also a gesture to ir young fans that hatred, contempt for human beings and antisemitism should not have a place in any art."

Farid Bang and Kollegah had received Music award echo despite anti-Semitic accusations. In a song of two it is said: "My body is more defined than of Auschwitz occupants". In Kollegah video apocalypse, a man with David Ring is seen as mastermind of a banking world conspiracy.

The award of Music Prize to two rappers had caused a scandal, Echo was finally abolished. Several artists had previously returned ir awards in protest.
