As of November 1, the Vehicle Reform Manual used during the ITV will undergo some modifications, and DEKRA explains how to comply with the norm if you have a caravan or a "camperized" van with certain elements previously installed
With the publication in the BOE of the Resolution of July 6, 2022, of the General Directorate of Industry and Small and Medium Enterprises, the seventh revision of the Vehicle Reform Manual is approved. All vehicles that incorporate solar panels, or awnings, or even satellite dishes and that can demonstrate that said installations are prior to 01/11/2022 will be able to carry out an administrative procedure, this means that the installation of these elements will be easily noted on the ITV card. You have a term of two years to from the entry into force of the Manual of Reforms to go to the ITV to carry out the procedure or in the next periodic technical inspection, whichever happens later. These are the elements added to the outside of the vehicle that are allowed to be recorded as administrative diligence :• Solar panels• Awnings• Satellite dishes• Devices for load support (not suitable for towing, exclusive use for bicycle carriers, motorcycle carriers, personal mobility and animal carrier) It will suffice to make the request at the ITV and demonstrate that the installation was carried out before 11/01/2022, for example, presenting the following documentation: • Statement of responsibility signed by the owner/owner and DNI • Purchase invoice of the element (dated prior to 11/01/2022) • Workshop certificate of the installation carried out (dated prior to 11/01/2022) • Document from the vehicle manufacturer certifying that the vehicle incorporated that element at origin It is important to comply with the regulations that regulate ITV inspections, not only to avoid fines, but also to guarantee that the systems are safe for users and their environment.
