India announced on Saturday that a important relaxation of the confinement established to address the growing epidemic of coronavirus, with the exception of regions where the number of infections is still high.
Almost all economic activity had ceased at the end of march because of the containment, leaving hundreds of millions of people in the unemployment in the space sometimes of a night. Millions of migrant workers have fled the cities for their home villages, many of them being forced to walk hundreds of miles and some dying on the way.
