Emmanuel Macron denounced Thursday the "violation" of the sovereignty of the Greek and cyprus by Turkey in the eastern Mediterranean, against the backdrop of renewed tensions between Athens and Ankara, receiving at Paris his cypriot counterpart Nicos Anastasiades.
"I want to once again reaffirm the full solidarity of France with Cyprus but also of Greece in the face of violations of their sovereignty by Turkey. It is not acceptable that the area of the sea of a member State of our Union is violated or threatened. Those who contribute to it must be punished", stressed the French president.
