The event "Black lives matter", Brussels, has started this Sunday afternoon in the streets of the capital. Nearly 10,000 people gathered in front of the Palace of Justice to protest against racism and police violence against people of color throughout the world, according to the spokesman of the Brussels police Ilse Van de Keere.

"The murder of George Floyd has obviously awakened a lot of people," explained Angel Kaze, a spokesperson for the 'Belgian Network for Black Lives' (BNFBL), who has called for this action. "A lot of people are sick and tired of the police violence that affects systematically the blacks ", she added.
