The man suspected of having killed the vice-mayor and former mayor of Alsot, Ilse Uyttersprot is being prosecuted for murder. He will appear on Tuesday night or Wednesday morning in front of the judge who will decide his placement under arrest.
The man surrendered Tuesday morning to the police by announcing that he had killed Ilse Uyttersprot, 53 years of age. The police has then found the lifeless body of the former burgomaster of Aalst Ilse Uyttersprot CD&V), who was killed in suspicious circumstances in a house at the Meuleschettestraat.
