TRENTON - A teen was rushed to the hospital Thursday night with a gunshot wound to his head, according to Trenton police.

The 17-year-old sustained a gunshot wound to his ear and a graze wound from a bullet to the back of his head, police said.

The teen told officers he stopped in his car at the intersection of Wall and East State streets around 9 p.m. Thursday when he heard gunfire and felt a pain in his head, according to police.

The teen quickly drove from the area, but was stopped a short time later by police who were investigating the shooting. He told officers that he'd been shot and they rushed him to a hospital where he was treated and released Thursday.

Detectives were investigating the shooting Friday morning.
