The leader of the French team fell last Saturday in the first step of the Road of Occitania, a race that he has however completed. His injury does not question his participation in the Dauphiné, who will start from his home town, Clermont-Ferrand, next Wednesday.
The Auvergne, second on the Tour in 2016 (and 3rd in 2017), was taken last year the second place in the Mont Ventoux Elevation gain Challenge, behind the Spaniard Jesus Herrada, in the first edition of the event.
