Richard Carapaz won Friday's third stage of the Tour of Poland (WorldTour). After 203,1 km between Wadowice and Bielsko-Biala, the Ecuadorian Team Ineos has moved ahead of the Italian Diego Ulissi (Emirates) and the French Rudy Molard (Groupama-FDJ) in anticipation of the sprint. Jasper Stuyven (Trek-Segafredo) finished 7th, Tim Wellens (Lotto Soudal) 9th.
After a long breakaway which animated the day, Nathan Haas (Cofidis) tried his luck at 30 km from the finish. The Australian, after having counted 1 : 00 lead over the peloton, has finally surrendered to 9 km of the term, helpless in front of a platoon led by the team Deceuninck-Quick-Step.
