John is not a garment american, but French!

You thought the jeans were a garment 100% american? You were wrong! Contractor: dynamic, humble and ambitious, Thomas Huriez, the crying loud and clear: the "denim" is linked to a French town in the south of France... Its entrepreneurial route is unusual and impressive! We are in 2007, and Thomas is responsible for computer science at Grenoble. He decides to "give up everything" to return to live in Romans-sur-Isère, at his grand-mother. At the age of 26, he decided to open a store that sells clothing "ethical" is synonymous with "baba-cool" at the time. Four years later, it specializes in the production of jeans and sneakers, quality, but above all fully designed in France and launches the mark of 1083.

Why is 1083? This is the exact number of kilometres that separates the two the most remote cities in metropolitan France, Menton (on the Riviera) and Porspoder (Finistère). Thomas Huriez has travelled on this cycling tour in 2014 to promote his brand. "A human adventure, amazing and rich," he recalls with a warm smile. On each garment that comes out of its workshops, Thomas Huriez is to sew a label on which is inscribed "Made at less than 1083 km from home": Made in France, and poetry.
