Early Friday evening, a youth of about 16 was shot in Villeray on rue des Érables. A vehicle would have stopped at his height while he was with three people. Two men would have come out. After a brief argument, one of the two men fired on the teenager, hitting him with a bullet, according to the spokesperson for the Montreal Police Service, Raphaël Bergeron. The shooter fled by car and the young man went to a hospital on his own, but there is no fear for his life.

"Investigators are on the scene with a dog handler and there is no cooperation from the victim," said the spokesperson, adding that the teenager was known to police circles.
