The tree, which is about seven feet high, is completely covered in lights that come on at night. This little festive addition also marks the last holiday season of the structure, the deconstruction of which has been underway since 2020 and will end in January 2024.

A central pillar connecting Montreal to the South Shore, the original Champlain Bridge was decommissioned in June 2019 after being open for 57 years.

Although the deconstruction of the infrastructure should be completed in 2024, the shoreline development should take place in 2025.
