A former NHLer with the Lions

Quebecer Pierre-Luc Létourneau-Leblond signed a contract with the Trois-Rivières Lions on Tuesday.

The forward has 41 National Hockey League games, having had brief stints with the New Jersey Devils, Calgary Flames and Pittsburgh Penguins between 2008 and 2014.

This will be Létourneau-Leblond's second experience with the Lions, as he played a game with the Montreal Canadiens in the ECHL in 2021-2022.

The Trois-Rivières team also offered deals to forwards Olivier Ouellet and Matthew Barron. The first played until recently in the LHSAAAQ and participated in the last training camp of the Trois-Rivières organization. The second played for the Evansville Thunderbolts in the SPHL. He also played four games with the Indy Fuel in the ECHL this season.

The Lions will return to action on Wednesday, when the Maine Mariners will be at the Videotron Coliseum.
