This agreement, worth $72 million, allowed the 24-year-old athlete to instantly receive an amount of $30 million, according to the NFL Network. It will achieve full autonomy at the end of the agreement, which will expire in 2026.

Metcalf will also become the Goodell League's sixth highest-paid player annually among wide receivers.

In 49 NFL games, the former second-round pick has 216 catches for 3,170 yards. He also registered 29 majors.

Earlier this summer, Metcalf forced the Seahawks' hand by not attending their mandatory minicamp - a bargaining tactic that ultimately paid off.
