A tourism project that should make it possible to accommodate 200 recreational vehicles (RVs) worries several citizens in Weedon, in the Eastern Townships.

The Destination W project should make it possible to create a high-end tourist complex that will be located in the 9th Avenue area, near the Saint-François River.
The entrepreneur, Sherplex, wants to set up a huge campground for RVs, with game modules, water slides, a restaurant and a wharf where people can rent pontoons and canoes, among other things.
A dozen residents are worried about the impact on the Saint-François River.
Last Monday, the municipal council held an information session to answer questions and reassure people. Nearly a hundred people took part in the session, online or on site.
Several questions were asked about the protection of wildlife, flood zones, wetlands and access to parks.
