Aedas Homes estimates an economic contribution of 5,000 million euros to the country with its activity since 2017

MADRID, 7 Ago. (EUROPA PRESS) -

Aedas Homes has calculated an economic impact of 5,000 million euros with its activity since 2017 through the 345 residential projects that it has launched or is currently designing throughout the country.

In a statement, the promoter defends having become in recent years "one of the main economic engines of the real estate sector in Spain."

"In the current real estate cycle, 'real estate' has established itself as one of the engines that add, and will continue to add, growth to the Spanish economy. A good example of this contribution to the economy is Aedas Homes, which has promoted 20,000 homes , close to half already delivered", stated the CEO of Aedas Homes, David Martínez, recalling that in 2022 real estate activities represented 9.8% of total Spanish GDP.

In terms of job creation, the 20,000 Aedas Homes homes translate into the creation of close to 50,000 indirect jobs during the time the developments are carried out, a figure to which must be added the more than 300 professionals that make up currently the company --direct jobs-- in its six territorial divisions.

By territories, the economic impact generated by Aedas Homes is concentrated in the Central Territorial Department (1,505 million), followed by Levante and the Balearic Islands (1,100), Catalonia and Aragon (823), Andalusia and the Canary Islands (763), Costa del Sol (667 ) and North (198).

Martínez stressed that the "good economic and employment numbers" promoted by the company "could be even better if the land needed by the promoting industry were manufactured."

"There is a demand for new construction housing that we are not able to satisfy due to the shortage of land for finalists. Currently, 2 homes are produced for every 1,000 inhabitants when the optimum level in Spain is double," he concluded.
