The Quebecer will make her debut with builders Tom Tebbutt and Ron Ghitter thanks to her “significant contributions to the progress of tennis in the country”. Holding the Canadian mark with 40 career Fed Cup victories (now the Billie Jean King Cup), she rose to No. 21 in the WTA rankings in 2009. At the Bank of the West Classic, Wozniak captured the first Canadian singles title on the women's circuit in 20 years. During her 13-year career, she defeated some of the world's top 10 athletes, including Serena Williams, Amélie Mauresmo, Marion Bartoli and Jelena Jankovic.

"I am glad! To be inducted into the Canadian Tennis Hall of Fame is a tremendous honour, she said in a statement. It means a lot to me. Representing Canada around the world has been a real privilege. I gave everything to defend the colors of my country and I will always cherish the magnificent memories that I created thanks to my sport. Thank you for this amazing moment! I savor this moment with my family and my parents who have sacrificed so much so that I could have such a great career. I will be eternally grateful to them.”

Along with the five-time Tennis Canada Player of the Year recipient who retired in 2018, Tebbutt and Ghitter will be honoured. The former provided journalistic coverage of Canadian and international tennis for over 45 years. The second was the main driving force behind the birth of the new regional training center located in Calgary.

Wozniak will become a Canadian tennis immortal in her first year of eligibility and will be honoured, along with Tebbutt, during the National Bank Open in Montreal in August.
