Applus earns 48.6 million in 2022, 50.8% more, and improves its revenue by 15%

MADRID, 27 Feb. (EUROPA PRESS) -

Applus obtained a net profit of 48.6 million euros in 2022, a figure 50.8% higher than that of 2021, when the group's profits amounted to 32.2 million euros, the company informed the Commission on Monday National Stock Market (CNMV).

The group's revenues were close to 2,050 million euros last year, 15.4% more than in 2021 (8% at constant currency), thanks to the four Applus divisions and the "repositioning" of its business portfolio towards markets more attractive.

The group's adjusted net result grew by 18.9%, to 111 million euros, while its adjusted operating result improved by 15.3%, to 202 million euros.

The company has highlighted that this "solid operating performance" was achieved in a year characterized by high inflation, especially in the cost of energy, which had a "significant" impact on the second half of 2022; the confinement policy in China; and the completion of a highly profitable vehicle technical inspection contract in its Automotive division.

After the 2022 results, the Applus board of directors will propose the distribution of a dividend of 0.16 euros per share, above the 0.15 euros per share in 2021.

Looking ahead to 2023, the company expects to deliver "mid to high single digit" organic revenue growth, maintain operating profit margin, and continue to improve the composition of its service portfolio through new acquisitions and divestitures.
