The bankruptcy proceedings of companies stood at 693 registrations in November, 71.5% more than in the same month of the previous year, according to the advance of the monthly data published this Thursday by the College of Registrars.

Madrid, with 213 competitions, Catalonia, with 125, and the Valencian Community, with 107, concentrate between the three autonomous communities about seven out of every ten competitions presented in November.

The College of Registrars has explained in its statement that bankruptcy proceedings showed ups and downs in the data until June, after the "moderate" increases shown during the first three months of the year, and its subsequent decrease of 16.8% in April.

In addition, they have recalled that the bankruptcy moratorium ended in June, which is setting the real trend in recent months, with progressive increases and the highest annual rise in November.

Of those 693 bankruptcies registered in the November advance, 508 were voluntary, 69.3% more than in November 2021, and 185 necessary, 77.9% more than in the same period a year ago.

The constitutions registered in November broke with six months of moderate falls, with the exception of September, when they increased by 2.2%, and rebounded by 7.9% year-on-year, to 8,798 companies.

The autonomous communities of Madrid, Catalonia and Andalusia, together, constituted six out of every ten companies created. Madrid concentrated 2,086 companies, Catalonia, 1,610 constitutions, and Andalusia, 1,604, according to data from the College of Registrars.

In November, the creation of companies increased in most territories, with increases of over 10% in the Canary Islands, Ceuta and Melilla, Castilla y León, the Valencian Community and Madrid.

The most striking drop is that of La Rioja, where the incorporation of companies contracted by 47.9% in November, to 25. Negative data was also recorded in Aragon, with an interannual drop of 0.6%; Balearic Islands, 1.3%; and Murcia, 2%.

The Association of Registrars warns in its statement that we will have to wait for the following months to see the "definitive trend" in the creation of companies, since after the falls in the second and third quarters, the data for November, positive, They reverse that trajectory.

Capital increase operations increased in November for the fourth consecutive month. Last month they rebounded by 4% compared to the same month of the previous year, thus improving the negative data observed in the first half of the year.

By autonomous communities, Madrid, with 694 extensions, 15.7% more than in 2021, and Catalonia, with 445 extensions, 5.5% less than in the same month of the previous year, stand out for their greater volume.

Capital increases grew by 100% in the autonomous cities of Ceuta and Melilla; 66.7% in Cantabria; and 41.2% in Navarra.

The biggest drop can be seen in the Basque Country, where capital increases were placed 26.2% below the data for November 2021.
