Castilla-La Mancha repeals requirements for slaughterhouses as surveillance for sheep and goat smallpox declines

TOLEDO, 18 Ago. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The General Directorate of Agriculture and Livestock has repealed the conditions that authorized slaughterhouses had to meet in order to receive sheep and goats from establishments located within the protection and surveillance zone originated by the declaration of outbreaks of sheep and goat pox (VOC) in Castilla-La Mancha.

This is stated in the resolution of said general direction published this Friday by the Official Gazette of Castilla-La Mancha and collected by Europa Press, in which it is explained that when these protection and surveillance zones ceased to exist, these restrictions were unnecessary and devoid of purpose .

Against this resolution, which does not put an end to the administrative process, an appeal may be filed before the person in charge of the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Rural Development, within a period of one month.

In accordance with the provisions of article 14 of Law 39/2015, of October 1, the filing of any appeal may be made through electronic means, unless there is an obligation to interact with Public Administrations by electronic means -- such as legal persons, entities without personality and natural persons representing the above--, through the electronic headquarters of the Junta de Comunidades de Castilla-La Mancha (www.jccm.es).
