Cellnex closed the first quarter of the year with a turnover of 985 million euros, 19% more than in the same period of 2022, and reduced its losses to 91 million, compared to 93 million a year ago, has informed the National Securities Market Commission (CNMV) this Thursday.

The company has recalled that the net result continues to reflect the effect of amortizations (13%) and financial costs (12%) associated with the consolidation process of acquisitions and integrations that it has carried out in recent years.

For its part, the adjusted gross operating result (Ebitda) was 730 million (15%), while the recurring free cash flow increased by 12%, up to 336 million, "driven by the combination of organic growth (6, 8%) and the consolidation of the perimeter".

Cellnex's CEO, Tobias Martínez, stressed that the first quarter results meet "the group's organic growth objectives, which reinforces alignment with the new strategic chapter" announced in 2022.

The group's net debt at the end of March and excluding lease liabilities was 17,000 million, 77% of which was referenced to a fixed rate.

The access to immediate liquidity between treasury and undrawn debt was of an approximate amount of 4,300 million euros.

By lines of business, Infrastructure Services for mobile Telecommunications operators (TIS) contributed 899 million, 20% more year-on-year and 91.3% of the total.

The broadcasting infrastructure ('broadcast') contributed 5.8% of the income, with 57 million; the security and emergency network businesses and solutions for the intelligent management of urban infrastructures (MCPN and IoT and Smart cities) contributed 2.9%, with 29 million euros.

As of March 31, Cellnex had 111,931 operational sites (without taking into account the 18,936 scheduled to be deployed by 2030), to which are added 7,988 DAS nodes and Small Cells.

The organic growth of the points of presence in the locations grew by 6.8% in relation to the same period of 2022, including the effect of the deployment of new locations in the period.
