MADRID, 28 Nov. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The electric vehicle charging platform ChargeGuru has merged with Zeplug, a European operator of charging infrastructure in residential and office buildings, with the aim of installing more than 100,000 charging points in Europe by 2025 and strengthening its position in Spain.

To achieve this objective they will have the 240 million euros obtained by Zeplug in 2022 from the ICG (Intermediate Capital Group) infrastructure fund. The union of both companies will also allow us to strengthen existing agreements with more than 20 automobile manufacturers throughout Europe, as reported by the company in a statement.

With this merger, ChargeGuru plans to break the existing barriers in Spain and give the definitive boost to the acquisition of electric vehicles in the country. ChargeGuru's new offering is designed to meet the growing demand for electric vehicle charging services with a specific solution for community garages and office buildings.

The model includes financing of charging infrastructure, as well as a turnkey installation and maintenance service, which has already been adopted in 15,000 buildings in Europe.

Specifically, this comprehensive approach is based on a scalable solution that starts with a pre-installation of the infrastructure at zero cost for the community of owners and residents who do not want electric charging and prepares the buildings to add charging points without limitations, as required. that these are requested and even cover all the parking spaces if necessary.

"ChargeGuru's objective in proposing the innovative offer enabled by the merger with Zeplug, and which has proven successful in the French market, is to emerge as the main European leader in electric charging solutions. By covering the entire value chain, we have the ability to greatly facilitate the transition towards electric mobility in Spain", stated the general director of ChargeGuru in Spain and Portugal, Adrien Castagnie.

"We are convinced that the complementarity of our knowledge and experience, together with the power of our innovative offer for residential and office buildings, will allow us to meet the growing demand for electric charging infrastructure throughout Europe," explained Gilles Gomis, co-founder of Zeplug and ChargeGuru.
